Being Delivered From Habits of Bondage

John 8:36 He who the son sets free is free indeed.
What are bad habits that can bind us?
Well, let us look together. Many people turn to ouija boards, attend séances,
deal with mediums, cults, paganism such as idol worship, turning to witchdoctors for their every need, even paying them for answers.
Some turn to sex, sin, drugs and alcohol to find answers.
All these things can cause bondage in our life. We can become hooked to a bondage mentality.
When you do something that is not good for you--over and over, this is called a habit.
Habit (in the 'American Heritage Dictionary')
Habit means: A recurrent, often unconscious pattern of behavior that is acquired through frequent repetition. An established disposition of the mind or character. Customary manner or practice.
How can a person be delivered from these bondage habits?
Salvation: By turning their lives over to Jesus, accepting Jesus as our personal Savior,and having a true relationship with Him.
Deliverance: He helps us and delivers us from our habits that we used to live in and makes our lives brand new.
Obedience to God: Learning from God,His Word, how to walk in the Spirit of God.
Talking to God: Praying and communicating with God. Listening to God as he speaks to your heart.
Walking in the Spirit: Have you received the spirit of God since you got saved? Acts 19:2 He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost.
Jesus sent the comforter to lead and guide us and to teach us all things. The Holy Ghost is the one who teaches us the word of God.
Without him we can't live right with God. We either live in the spirit or the flesh.
No Bondage in Jesus: Through living for God, he gives us Joy and peace of mind. Never having to go back to bondage again.
There is NO 'bondage mentality' with our Savior Jesus Christ.
He set us free!
Overcoming Fear: Fear is one of the many greatest lies the devil can put in your mind and heart.
Many people are bound by fear. Fear is one of the greatest holds the devil can have over you, if you allow him to.
If you fear the devil and fall for his lies, you become bound by him.
If you trust in God and have faith you will not be fearful anymore. God gives you peace and a sound mind.
The devil loves to put fear in your heart. He loves to defeat your thinking and make you think you can't do things.
John 8:44c "The devil is a liar and father of lies."
1 Peter 5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
God always gives you hope and courage and does not give you fear. Only to fear him. :)
God is not the author of confusion, and He will never lie to you.
God won't cheat you, or try to hurt you. Only help point you to the Cross of Jesus and help you to grow.
Is the Church really abiding in Christ totally?
I remember as I was preaching in many
churches in Africa, one thing that really
stood out to me the most.
Many of the people in the Churches were full of fear of their Black Magic called, 'JUJU'.
Fear, which caused them doubt, fear of failure, fear of going forth, fear of being able to do things for God. Fear of being attacked, Fear of not being good enough. The fear that God
will not meet their needs.
Every kind of fear you can imagine was in their heart..
They had even locked in their minds that white people were rich and white
people were different than them. They thought of us as 'Elite' instead of normal like them.
And some of the people think white people are from the devil too. So you have all kinds of fears.
They thought we were better than them. I was so amazed that they were looking in human eyes, instead of the Spiritual eyes of God.
They idolize people too much! They allowed people to control them--then realized that the situation was not best for them.
They sometimes do not know the blessings that God put in them. And many are so blessed of God in many ways!
When they live in the bondage of paganism, they are unable to break that chain of JUJU, and idol worship.
It traps them and they become brainwashed. JUJU caused jealousy and even people in JUJU killed others too.
Every death gets blamed on JUJU, instead of other reasons. They sometimes do not recognize natural deaths.
They don't realize Jesus is their God and fear should not dwell in their hearts anymore--when they give their lives to Christ. So many of their Church people are afraid of the devil.
But doesn't God want us to be warriors who are not afraid, and to have courage in Him?
Lord knows I am not saying this to put them down. God forbid! For I love Africa so much! It's just my observation in the Spirit of God.
It concerned me for their souls. Don't get me wrong--I saw true believers too.
I just want to share how the devil can lie to people as a whole.
So many build their lives on opinion or news, what others say, instead of allowing God to teach them truth about those same things they stand in when deceived.
EXAMPLE:
Not all white people are rich. This is one of the biggest lies of Satan in Africa.
They have passed this lie from generation to generation.
Some have went bad with the idea of robbing a white person, to trying to take advantage of them. Some pastors have even become corrupt with all their begging online--just to reach white people.
Let's see what the Word says
With God there is love not fear. Though the devil will bind you--God will deliver you and set you free from bondage!
1 John 4:18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.
The Bible teaches...
Perfect love casts out all fear. So, there is no need to fear man or the devil.
If we really believe in the Bible, live it and digest it
and allow God to lead us in it--we will not fear anything
but God.
"The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.” (Proverbs 9:10)
John 15:5, I am the vine, you are the
branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without
Me you can do nothing".
I tell you
the truth in God in what I am saying.
I have lived in Africa and know this to be true--a true man of God in Africa is too busy to be hanging on the net all the time, and he will not be on the net begging.
I guarantee you this...
A
true Pastor who is not corrupt, will pray every day and trusts
God, and His faith will not be removed. He is not bound by culture and
cults.
He is not brainwashed by the world and lives in the Truth of God's Word, and lead by the spirit of God.
He has no need to fear anything or anyone, if God is in control of His life.
In Africa, many people pay witchdoctors for help for healing for their loved ones and for counsel.
Many of these people go to Church too and know God. But they can't wait on God for answers so they expect a witchdoctor to answer their needs. This is a very bad habit.
Can you imagine going to the devil for help? Can you imagine how God feels when people do that and not go to Him?
In any country you can go astray and develop bad habits. What God wants us to do is to allow Him to help us develop in Him. :)
God has hope for you! God will take away bondage if you turn to our Savior Jesus Christ.
Fear won't rule your hearts, if you believe in God.
1 John 2:5 But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.
John 8: 32-34 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
They answered him, We be Abraham's seed, and were never in bondage to any man: how sayest thou, Ye shall be made free?
Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin.
As I ministered in Africa, I visited many Churches, and villages. God showed me to teach these people about His love and about 'what fear does to them'.
I taught them about the '12 Heathen practices' and how they affected the lives of the Israelites, and how God put curses on their lives for not obeying Him. And, what happens when we are not covered by the Blood of Jesus.
I also I taught the people to 'dare to believe in God'. I challenged them to activate their faith in Jesus.
Then, miracles started to pour out when they reached out to Jesus and prayed to him and then believed in God for the answer. HALLELUJAH
Some accuse white people of just having a white message but we didn't die for the world, Jesus did and it didn't start in America or the UK. It started in Israel. :)
I told them, 'I want to prove to you that God will help you, loves you, does not want you to fear, and wants you to have faith in Him."
That if they activate their faith, it will come alive! That they will see wonderful things God can do for them.
And it happened when the people took hold and activated their own faith!
They were willing to believe and agree together.
They were motivated and took action to trust in Jesus and obeyed Him.
As I taught faith, I saw many delivered, even witchdoctors and JUJU children. They were delivered and changed. (I prayed for many of them).
Even after they got saved, before I got there, they used to still watch witchcraft (JUJU) movies and feed that junk back into their minds again. This caused them to stay in bondage.I was in a country where JUJU and witchcraft was the strongest--yet, I
was not afraid. AMEN
I faced the devil HEAD ON with the truth of the Gospel, and the power of God.
In America, and other parts of the world, people also are so fearful what man can do to them.
Instead of being strong in the Lord they get caught in the 'fear mode'. Fear of losing their job, fear of losing everything, fear in politics etc.
Yet, with Christians our hope is in God right?
The Bible says in Isaiah 41:10
"Fear thou not; for I am with thee:
be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee
with the right hand of my
righteousness."
Folks, we need to realize the promises we have in God! And stop acting like, God is not able to do things when we all know He can!
Allow God to give us joy and build our faith in the Word.
This is the best habit you can have! It keeps your life on track and balanced in God. :)
Since God has never changes, and He is the same 'yesterday today and forever' and cares about your need, then what reason is there to fear and why should we live in bondage?
Malachi 3:6 KJV
For I am the LORD, I change not
1 Peter 5:7 KJV
Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
When you don't have the freedom to be yourselves in the Lord, you will not have the peace of God inside.
Jesus Christ is waiting to give you peace inside!
Galatians 5:1
Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.
Many Christians worldwide, have gotten away from simple faith in God and His Word. The most powerful ingredient you can have in your life!
The Word of God turns powerful and if we really believe in God's Word
we can face anything without fear. AMEN
Many have turned to other things to find security (money, security blanket, people etc.)
It's almost as if they don't need God's help anymore. They think God needs a replacement!
When we turn our eyes riches, material things, and all other things that distract us from God, and not ask God for help, we get out from under the protection of God.
We become carnal and that will not get us to heaven. It's a bad bondage to be carnal.
Romans 8:6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
God gives us the freedom to choose, and he gives us liberty to be free in the Spirit of God.
Sometimes He even allows us to make bad decisions, and develop bad habits until we get sick of it and see that it won't work.
Then, when we make a mistake, and then we fall on our faces and hit rock bottom. Then we wake up and realize that we should have really trusted God in the first place. AMEN
God used people like us, who were not perfect, yet willing to serve Him. Die
to themselves and become alive in Him! AMEN
He takes no bodies and makes them into some bodies for Jesus! :)
Romans 6:8
Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him:
What does this mean?
God will give us the wisdom and we won't need to fear anything, and our confidence will be totally in God.
No need to be in bondage. Not anymore! AMEN Be set free with the Truth of God!
John 8:36
If the Son therefore shall
make you free, ye shall be
free indeed.
John 16:33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world
So when you see the attitude that Jesus chose, it was positive--totally obedient to God and doing God's will, no matter what he faced.
Even to death he was faithful to God and in the whole obedience, he gave us all life everlasting through his Blood.
He died for you and me to be set free from bondage and to live more abundantly.
So why are we being wimps?
Though Jesus was spat upon, whipped, and even the disciples fell asleep when he was needing prayer, he sweat as it were great drops of blood as He prayed to God preparing to go to the cross.
Jesus never stopped believing The Father.. He was obedient to God unto the end. And it didn't stop there. He rose from the dead and ascended to the father and
sent us the comforter to be with us until he returns. Oh how we forget this so fast...LET US REMEMBER GOD IS WITH US ALWAYS. THANK YOU JESUS!
Yes Jesus hurt and wept at times, and yet Jesus always focused on the Kingdom of God and the Father's will.
He was not bound by this world.
What brings the church out of the bondage mode?
Believing in our Lord Jesus Christ, really having a true relationship with Him.
Loving and believing totally
in Jesus, fearing only God, and living by the way the Holy Spirit directs you
through the Word of God
Talking to God and knowing God. Worshiping the Father. AMEN
Let the Holy Ghost Teach
you the Word... What do you mean teach me?
About the Holy Spirit teaching you. (The comforter)
Luke 12:12 Amplified
For the Holy Spirit will teach you in that very hour and moment what [you] ought to say.
John 14:26 Amplified
But the Comforter (Counselor, Helper,
Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, Standby), the Holy Spirit, Whom the
Father will send in My name [in My place, to represent Me and act on My behalf], He will teach you all things. And He will cause you to recall (will
remind you of, bring to your remembrance) everything I have told you.
Corinthians 2:13 KJV
Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.
Let's see what God did through believers who believed and feared God...
Acts 9:31 So the church throughout all Judea and Galilee and Samaria enjoyed peace, being built up; and, going on in the fear of the Lord and in the comfort of the Holy Spirit, it continued to increase.
So, if we are living in the Spirit of God, we will find peace, and we will see an increase and be winning
souls for God.
God gives us a zeal to serve him and we will not lose that zeal, which is the Fire of God inside us!
God give us fire in our spirit!
For, we are not to be 'Lukewarm' in our walk with God. We don't want to
be that way because, if we are, God will spue us out of his mouth. He does not want lukewarm children. He wants ONFIRE children of God.
To be deeply rooted in Him--The Sheep who hear His voice!
What does lukewarm mean?
The Random House Unabridged Dictionary says it means: 1. moderately warm; tepid. 2. having or showing little ardor,
zeal, or enthusiasm; indifferent: lukewarm
So do Christians want to be known as showing little zeal or enthusiasm for God? Indifferent? Of Course not, God forbid that we would become lukewarm in God!
The Word says, Rev. 3:16 "So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.
We want to be ON FIRE FOR GOD! AMEN!
When you fear God, you will listen to Him. No other things.
You won't want to live by the ways or man's theories, politics, and you will pay attention to God's
instructions and learn wisdom from Him only.
Godly understanding, common sense and good judgment from God.
Not ran by man's ways. We are ran by God's Spirit, and God's Word. AMEN!
Prejudice is a bondage that the Church needs to overcome!
1 Samuel 16:7 "For man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart."
Many people have a color mentality, or worry about you dressing just right for them! They look on the outward appearance
of a person.
These same people call
themselves a Christian.
With a judging spirit we are not being good examples of Christ.
We should be looking at the heart of everyone like Jesus did, instead of the clothes people wear, or thinking we are better.
We need a humble spirit of God. No bondage! We should not be in bondage and we should not make other people live in bondage either. AMEN!
Jesus once stated to the Scribes and Pharisees: Matthew 23:25 "Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for you make clean the outside of the cup and of the platter, but within they are full of extortion and excess."
He was speaking of people who look on the outward appearance and doctrines.
Being in bondage by both of them, that they could not live in the Spiritual realm of God. They had no clue what living in the Spirit was.
We live in a time of Victory in Jesus! A time for us to get past old ways of thinking, and put on the NEW in Christ Jesus.
Skin color, or culture is not what God is worried about, or thinking of either.
God does not care what country you come from. He loves you no matter who you are. He loves us all with the same love.
White does not mean 'a person is rich'.
It's the heart condition! If we are rich in God, we will only see the heart of man-- not the skin and richness of this world. AMEN!
Jesus never once judged people by their skin color, nor taught that His salvation was for men only, or for blacks only, or whites only.
He did not dwell on such nonsense! Whether you were Jew, gentile, male, female, bond or free, he loves everyone the same!
God loves you no matter what your skin color is.
All of the Church, whether black, white, grey, pink or whatever color he made you, God loves us all as ONE in the Body of Christ. AMEN
Skin color should not matter in the family of God.
When we rise to meet the Lord, we will all be in a spiritual body not as
color, and we won't be a culture or color!
We won't be married either! we will be in Spirit! And there will be all kinds of people there. And we will all be THE SAME in the Spirit of God.Hallelujah!
When we see the heart of man in God, in the spirit--we are all connected in Jesus! AMEN!
Being one 'as a team' in the body of Christ. Let us overcome this bondage by not being so divided.
Let us blend more in God! AMEN!
Outward appearance does not matter to God. Past does not matter to God. It's now, 'the present' and what is to come.
Let God lead in these things. AMEN!
Stop picking on a person's past, stop looking on these things and keep our minds on God's will.
This is where God wants us to correct our ways.Kick the bad habits out the window! :)
When we are willing to drop the bad habits, and live in God's Spirit, we will walk in the peace of God and see His WILL clearly.
And no bondage will ever rule us again!
These bad habits are so worldly and right where the devil wants you.
So we need to make changes by turning to the Savior Jesus! AMEN!
God wants to deliver you today from a bondage mentality....
