I saw Trouble Coming

For Kenya in August 2007

By Apostle Cathryn Ndyabagye

It was in August when i got this sick feeling inside, and saw big trouble for Kenya. I shared this feeling with two people. One Sylvia Suhr, a missionary to Kenya who was getting ready to go to Kenya. She lived in Australia.

 I even told her to maybe wait awhile before going back to Kenya (when I was feeling this way). She had to follow her heart and she prepared and went.Little did she know, she would be a big support to the people in the midst of the blood bath...

She was a pillar to the people during this horrific time. Sylvia arrived in Kenya as planned in November and stayed there through all the hard times. Bless her heart.

I shared what I felt to my friend Benny, in Nairobi. I am sure he was not knowing what to think of my words. Then, in December when the elections took place and things started happening, I had no idea they would be so bad like they were. When all broke loose and blood was shed. Benny wrote to me and said, "You knew this was about to happen!" Acts 3:19 Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;

I had many pray for Kenya and we all pulled together in prayer for God to stop all the bloodshed and not long afterwards there was peace. Many lives were lost and many were displaced.

What I learned from this is always listen to God when he speaks to your heart about things. Many times we get gut feelings for a reason. I say to pray and trust God in everything. God wants us to take it to the Lord in prayer!

Remember, no matter what we face, if we all pray together, God will intervene. AMEN because there is power in prayer AMEN!  Acts 2:38 "Peter replied, "Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit."
