It's Who We Are In Christ Today That Matters!

Apostle Cathryn Hughes Ndyabagye

Today our churches are not like they used to be...

Many of the Churches have developed worldly habits and have moved away from the faith.

They love to dig up past on people, instead of looking how people are currently. What good does it do anyone to bother people about their past? This is not a Godly thing to do.

I would love to see people get to the point where people can accept people in Christ--How they are today--Not what they were In their past! AMEN

Jesus made it very clear that we should not spend out time looking back.

We need to remember to 'NOT LOOK BACK. and to not look back on people either, and to keep our eyes on Christ!

Luke 9:62 "And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God."

John 5:24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.

So what we repented from at the altar, stays there, and nobody has a right to throw it into your face.

Never accept condemnation when you are a child of God and you are living right.

There is a sin in the body of Christ that is tearing up the Christians. It's called, 'A condemning and judging spirit'.

We live in a very competitive society and consists of worldly mindset of
judging, tearing people up, killing each other, betrayal. and gossip etc.

We should try not to ever have anything to do with these things.

What makes Christians unique from the rest of the world is their love.

1 Corinthians 13:4
Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not
itself, is not puffed up

1 Corinthians 4:6
And these things, brethren, I have in a figure transferred to myself and to Apollos for your sakes; that ye might learn in us not to think of men above that which is written, that no one of you be puffed up for one against another.

Headlines in most news today is bad. They put people down and actually love shreading people's lives into hamburger.

There is no love of Christ in this type of behavior. Yet many Christians start acting the same way.

We can all get sucked up into this worldy way of thinking if we are not careful. So we need to walk in the Spirit of God!

God's promise to us who give our lives to Christ and our past is forgiven:

Romans 8:1
There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

Today their are different types of Christians:
1. Carnal Christians:
*Those who spread gossip, have a condemning and judging spirit, which produces a bad witness.

With this condemning and judging spirit, they cause a stumblingblock to their brothers and sisters in Christ, and many have backslid, or fallen in Christ, because these people discouraged them away from Christ.

Self-righteous: People constantly thinking they are righteous, and better than others, when they need to
repent of their own sins.

Those who try to point at everyone, instead of pointing only at only
themselves.

Those who purposely lie to hurt their brothers and sisters for their own personal gain or self image.

And those who live like the world...

Matthew 24:10
And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.

Romans 8:6
For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.

Revelation 3:16
So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.

2.Christians Saved By Grace, who walk true to God in the Love of Christ:
*Those who stand firm in the love of Jesus. Love God with all their heart, mind, and strength.

They love their enemies and their neighbor as themselves.

They uplift the body of Christ, and care in a Christ-like manner.

They are ready to pray with compassion for their brothers and sisters.

They stick closely to the Word of God, and the fruits of the Spirit shine through them as walk with God.

They are forgiving, and bear one another's burdens.

They mind their own business and do not try to meddle or gossip about anyone.

They point only at their own self and work on their own falses, instead of trying to keep track of everyone else's faults.

They forgive and accept people for who they are, and they don't care about people's pasts.

They remember what God saved them from. They try to treat others as they like to be treated.

Romans 1:9
For God is my witness, whom I serve with my spirit in the gospel of his Son, that without ceasing I make mention of you always in my prayers

John 13:35 "By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another."

When you read through the Bible, you will see how God took people with a past of all kinds, transformed them loved and used them to fulfill His will.

He saved and forgave the worst of sinners (like you and me) and used them for His glory! Let's see just some of the many:

Read Zechariah chapter 3, Joshua was condemned by Satan but God stood up for Joshua. God didn't see the dirty garments on Joshua. He looked at his heart. He was forgiven.

Hosea was told to marry a prostitute and if you read chapter 1 and 2
you will see salvation of the sinners at the end of chapter 2. God allowed all of this to bring the people back to God.

We serve a loving and forgiving God!

God took all of us who were nobodies--sinners, and changed us all into somebodies--saved by the blood of Jesus!

God does not look at your past at all (like this world and Christians do who
like to condemn). He looks at your heart. Once we repent of any mistake--it's gone. Not to be remembered anymore! HALLELUJAH!

1 Samuel 16:7 "But the LORD said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his statue; because I have refused him; for the LORD seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart."

If Jesus would saved a drunkard like Noah, then He will save anybody.

If Jesus would save an adulterer like David, then He will save anybody.
(And David was called closest to God's own heart).

God will receive any repent sinner that comes to Jesus Christ for salvation (John 6:37).

If Jesus would save a murderer like Saul (later to become the Apostle Paul, who wrote many books of the New Testament), then he will save anybody!

If Jesus can accept a lady caught in adultery who had 5 husband's and save her life, and forgive her without condemning her, and tell the men who wanted to stone her, "Those without sin cast the first stone." Then he can save and forgive anyone who has went through divorce or something similar!

Shouldn't we really take heed to the mind of Christ? Stop putting others down? It's ugly, and not of Christ!

Condemnation is sin and so is judging people because the world tells us both are wrong to do.

Aren't you glad God forgave each one of us, and does not remember our sins anymore?

Tell me,  why do people remember others pasts and sins, and try to use it against us, thus, putting Christ on the cross again with it?

Why can't Christians let go of it all too?

It's Satan, who loves to keep throwing things up in our faces!

So many Christians act like Satan too.
Judging and condemning people when they are sinning by just that act.

It was not Jesus to teach us to behave this way...

We must accept people for who they are today, not what they were--it's who they are 'right now'. Let us all stop playing God! AMEN

This type of behavior is not of God.

Who looks at a person for who they are today? We are not the judge, God is.

Why would a 'So-Called Christians' want to attach a charge to a forgiven Christian? God forbid that they would crucify Christ 'afresh' for that same forgiven sin! A forgiven sinner saved by grace...

We must be very careful what we say about forgiven people...

Jesus brings salvation to save. The devil brings condemnation, discouragement and defeat--forever wanting us to feel guilty of what people are forgiven for.

Jesus said,
John 3:17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

So shouldn't we try follow suite like Christ in our Spirit? We are not called to condemn people, but to bring people to Christ AMEN

I do not like seeing Christians tearing each other apart. It's so sad to me.

It's rediculous that Christians can't stop talking, gossiping, can't stop throwing dirt in others faces.

If we are going to call ourselves Christians, don't you think we should act like one too?

I believe these same people will be judged for their attitude like Cain was. It was Cain's attitude that caused his own offering to be rejected by God.

Let us pray that all of us can stay focused on God and be a blessing to each other--and not a burden.

When the scripture below says 'we wrestle not against flesh and blood', this means we don't need to be fighting people AMEN!

Ephesians 6:12
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

True Christians will not worry about a person's past (It won't matter to them), their focus will be on Christ.

They will not have any interest in fighting and arguing with people.

What will matter is, to love and accept others as they are. They will not not condemn you. They will have the mind and Compassion of Christ.

I honestly believe that those who walk in pride and self-righteousness, will be dumbfounded when Jesus comes.

Those who spent all their time hating people, finding fault, and condemning others (to look good).

Those who could not accept people for who they are, having hate for the brethren,  was verbally and physically abusive, was a gossip, and didn't treat people right.

Those who thought popularity was what they wanted, selfishness, being rich and looking good, cheating and using people, boasting in themselves, are all going to miss the coming of the Lord--unless they repent today!

We all need to repent daily. AMEN!

Ephesians 5:27
That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.

Hebrews 9:14
How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

It will be those like Christ--who will make it. Those who are full of Love of Jesus for all!

If people spend their time sinning in their hearts, and don't really love people and win souls for Christ, what is their calling?

They try to look and act righteous, yet they don't love their brother and sister, and spending too much time trying to be be RIGHT.

1 John 4:20 "If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?"

We all need to really read the gospels again from Matthew to John and pay close attention to what Jesus said and apply it to our lives. AMEN

I want nothing more than to please God and to be a blessing to Him and others. AMEN I want to bring many souls to Jesus and uplift the Church.

Jesus does not have time for fake Christians. He means business about souls being saved.

So what are we doing? Jesus is coming soon!!

How can we win souls for Jesus if we are so busy hurting others, or not living as we should?

Proverbs 25:28
He that hath no rule over his own spirit is like a city that is broken down, and without walls.

What is Christianity coming to? When there is NO love whatsoever for one another, no concern to really pray for each others needs, no concern to encourage or edify the body--then what are we doing?

Some think Christianity is about making themselves a star, popular or
looking good. Thinking they are the only one that is good. Well wake up world! Nobody is good, no not one! AMEN

1 John 2:16
For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

Luke 18:19
And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? none is good, save one, that is, God.

We need revival in the Church to get the spots and wrinkles out. AMEN!

I don't know about you, but I want to die daily. I have to. It's not about me, It's about Christ! I want to be ready and go when Jesus comes! How about you?

Jude 1:23
And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.

We all are sinners saved by grace, we all have a past and Jesus said to not look back!

We are have all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God in many ways!

All sins are all in the same category, so it does not matter what you did before. Let us all move forward in God and keep our eyes on the mark of the high calling of GOD! AMEN

What matters, is that you are are saved by God's Grace, and we are all the body of Christ.

Let's Unite in love! Let's put all differences aside! Forgive, forget about pasts--Let it go and stop starting rumors to hurt others! Let us instead, love each other more, and let go of condemnation!

Let us encourage one another, lift one another up, and really know where we stand in grace and the Love of Jesus.

Let us produce fruits of the Spirit and please God!

Galations 5:22-23 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law

Let's honor one another, thinking highly of others rather than just ourselves, be peacemakers instead of trouble-makers.

Stop being perfectionists, and stop pointing.

With ever point you point at someone, there are three fingers pointing back at you--so judging is not the answer.

Revenge should not be a part of a Christian's life. Love and forgiveness should. AMEN

Colossians 2:2
That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the  acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ
