Opposition Is Imminent & God Gives Us Victory!

By Apostle Cathryn Ndyabagye

Have you ever noticed that when God is really using you and you are growing in Him, there is always someone, or something that comes against you?

This is really a good thing, because it shows us that no matter what we do, or where we go, that as we live for Jesus, when we are living in His righteous we will always face opposition from the enemy.

When we stand strong in God nothing anyone can do, or say (even when the devil uses people's mouths to say discouraging things to us) can move us. AMEN

Even Christians who go up against you, and tell rumors, or when people speak not so nice things to you; Satan uses their mouths and their minds to manipulate people--to bring opposition to us.

It will not sway us in God, for we stand firm in Jesus! We have options as children of God!

We can resist anything the devil uses against us, not allowing ourselves to be intimidated by their words.

We can resist the lies of the devil and walk strong--staying focused on God!

We don't have to fall in defeat! We don't have to allow--those used by Satan to tear us down.

It's a choice we can make in the authority of Jesus!

I choose to stand up in the devil's face and be a warrior for Christ.

In the authority of God. Like Deborah, the Prophetess, who took it upon herself to lead the soldiers to defeat the enemy of Israel--and they won the battle! AMEN!

When our armor is on solid, nothing can overcome us, because we have power and strength from our heavenly Father!

Opposition is imminent, and yet we are not overcome by it! God Gives us victory!

We have a choice whether we let opposition affect us or not. And how do you stand against it and not let it affect you?

Overcome by:

1. Trust and lean on God

Proverbs 3:5
Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

2. Resist the Devil

James 4:7
Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

3. By the Blood of Jesus

Plead the blood of Jesus for we are covered under the blood of Jesus

Ephesians 2:13
But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.

1 Peter 1:2
Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied.

In these last days, before Christ comes, we are going to face many oppositions! It will happen... Do not let that make you afraid!

When we can go to God in opposition times--we can draw strength from Him in any situation. AMEN

Jesus said in Matthew 10:28

And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

'Fear not' was said by many angels to man, and from Jesus in many situations all throughout the Bible, you know why?

God is not the author of confusion. He does not want his people to be fearful. He wants us to stand strong in His authority!

We can't stand in God's authority if we are fearful!

God is not the author of confusion. He does not want his people to be fearful. He wants us to stand strong in His authority!

We can't stand in God's authority if we are fearful!

Isaiah 35:4
Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompence; he will come and save you.

Soldiers are not fearful people. They must be strong and always face the enemy, to overcome him/them.

So, this is what God expects from us. When we lean on Him for strength to stand in these times--God will give us the authority we need to take down the enemy and to be victorious and win!

I was in the military and I know this is true in a military sense, and it helped me to see how to be a real soldier for God! :)

In an military there are many soldiers and you need a person in charge to give the orders and to make sure everyone is doing their jobs right.

Without a person in charge, we would be attacked by the enemy without protection and guidance.

This is how it is when Jesus leads us into spiritual warfare. He gives us the armor we need, the Word to use against the devil and gives his the Power of the Spirit to overcome the enemy. God leads and guides us!

No, we can't do it without God's help. We are nothing in ourselves. It is in His grace we stand.

And, Jesus wants us to walk in the Spirit in the Confidence in God!

We can't be whimpy solders! We are more than conquerors! AMEN

It is vital that we wear the armor tight, and be prepared for spiritual battle at all time! We can't afford to ever take it off! AMEN

By being spiritually fit (in prayer, fasting and reading the word), and by being aware what is around us, and discerning in the Lord, the spirit reveals the truth to us.

When you watch and pray, you will be ready when Jesus comes, and Jesus told us to beware, and what we are to watch out for.

We must be strong in the Lord and not be weak. We must know and have confidence in God.

By focusing on our Savior Jesus Christ, and not the situations around us.

Joel 3:10
Beat your plowshares into swords and your pruninghooks into spears: let the weak say, I am strong.

We are not supposed to be afraid and when we fight for God!  We do not fight against man or flesh and blood, but against principalities and powers of the evil one.

We are to love people and hate sin! AMEN

Ephesians 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Even Jesus faced opposition in many ways. He was stoned for showing compassion and sharing truth from God, was spat upon for loving others and healing on the sabbath day.

The Scribes and Pharisees harassed and persecuted him with the law, when Jesus was and ever is 'God with us'.

He was tempted during his fasting time, and he resisted the devil. So, can we (when we face diversity or opposition).

God makes us equipped, so we can resist temptations of all kinds--Just like Jesus did.

When we know the word and stand on it. We can overcome with the Word. It is powerful and real. Very living!

Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

Christians and other people strike out at servants of God with tempers, negative comments, self-righteousness, prejudices, rumors, lies, gossip etc.

God will show us what we need to know. We don't need to stress when people do this. Forgive them and move on.

Staying focused on God in gladness, and allow God to help us go deeper in Him. AMEN!

We can be stronger than their negative comments. We can know how to answer every man AMEN!

Colossians 4:6 Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man.

If someone is a stumbling-block to you, then stay away from them, and also pray for them. For God says to flee sin.

When people reject us when we speak the truth or share in God, and if people do not listen or hear us, the Bible says we are to 'shake the dust off of our feet' when people reject us, and move on. Not in anger but in the love of Jesus.

For there is a time to let go and move on. AMEN

Don't waste  your time holding a grudge either-- Let it go!

Just like in the scripture:

Isaiah 48:20
Go ye forth of Babylon, flee ye from the Chaldeans, with a voice of singing declare ye, tell this, utter it even to the end of the earth; say ye, The LORD hath redeemed his servant Jacob.

The Bible James 4:7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

By resisting we can sing and go forth, for we are redeemed too, like Jacob! We can sing and rejoice in victory! AMEN!

We can stand against the wiles of the devil. AMEN

Ephesians 6:11
Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

Isaiah 40:31
But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

Jesus tells us many 'beware' warnings to watch for, if you read in Matthew 7:15, Matthew 16:6, Matthew 16:11-12, Mark 8:15, Mark 12:38, Luke 12:1, Luke 12:15 Luke 20:46. So he lets us know what to beware of.

Jesus trained the disciples well and they were aware of the 'bewares' too such as:

Colossians 2:8
Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.

I believe this means politics too!

Philippians 3:2 Beware of dogs, beware of evil workers, beware of the concision.

2 Peter 3:17
Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness.

God wants His people to be the strongest people on earth who shine for Jesus!

Opposition is imminent and God gives us Victory!
