The Eye Of The Storm

By Apostle Cathryn Ndyabagye

Isaiah 4:6
And there shall be a tabernacle for a shadow in the day time from the heat, and for a place of refuge, and for a covert from storm and from rain.

God made everything on this earth, even hurricanes, typhoons, tornadoes, and all storms.

Did you realize God always gives us an eye of a storm? Think about it, In the middle of a hurricane, tornado and cyclones, is what is called an Eye of the storm. The most calm and peaceful place (Though the storm is raging--there is peace in the middle).

God gives us many storms of life to face, and  we can handle it with calmness and not panic inside, we need not fear nor doubt in the midst of any storm of life.

We can keep our faith firm in God, and take authority in God, in any situation, and if our faith is strong enough, and if we dare to allow the Spirit of God to move in our hearts during this time, instead of being scared or doubtful, God will bring us through with miracles. AMEN

Heidi Baker knows the eye of the storm... She was stranded in a shipwreck boat, that was sinking.. She didn't complain, she just prayed and asked God to make a way for she had to reach many people in the village for the Lord.

She was offered a boat that was filled with bird dung to enter to be saved. She turned it down and then the people with her prayed she would change her mind. :) She finally said "OK", got in that bird dung boat.

As soon as she and her team entered the boat, they started down their way, and boat's engine blew up and they were again stranded. They prayed in the Spirit and trusted God even to the point of laughter.

Soon, they saw a log boat with men in it. They all got into this boat with 6 other men. There was no room for them in this log, and it became unsteady. It rocked back and forth. The men put up the sail and the boat steadied itself and all was calm.

God knows how to bring calmness in the midst of the storm. He knows how to bring miracles when we are unable to do anything ourselves. He brings an eye of the storm into our life. A time in the midst of the storm where, when we just trust Him, and know that God will bring us through. AMEN

It's a calm that prepares us, gives us a chance to refresh before the storm passes. A time to worship God and stay strong in Him. Our faith is challeneged as God watches to see what we will do.

Are you faced with a storm today? No matter how bad it seems, God is right there with you and will help you through it, if you believe.

Are you praying in the midst of the storm? Are you still smiling in the joy of the Lord, even in the hard situation you are in? Do you know that God is bigger than any storm?

When Jesus was in the boat with the disciples, Jesus was sleeping during the storm and the people on the boat got scared...Jesus got up and calmed the wind and made them see that they had nothing to fear with God in their midst. AMEN

Matthew 8:27
But the men marvelled, saying, What manner of man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey him!

Matthew 7:25
And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.

More Scriptures on Storms and promises

Amplified:

Deuteronomy 29:19
And lest, when he hears the words of this curse and oath, he flatters and congratulates himself in his [mind and] heart, saying, I shall have peace and safety, though I walk in the stubbornness of my [mind and] heart [bringing down a hurricane of destruction] and sweep away the watered land with the dry.

Psalm 57:1
[ To the Chief Musician; [set to the tune of] "Do Not Destroy." A record of memorable thoughts of David when he fled from Saul in the cave. ] BE MERCIFUL and gracious to me, O God, be merciful and gracious to me, for my soul takes refuge and finds shelter and confidence in You; yes, in the shadow of Your wings will I take refuge and be confident until calamities and destructive storms are passed.

Mark 4:37
And a furious storm of wind [ of hurricane proportions] arose, and the waves kept beating into the boat, so that it was already becoming filled.

Psalm 46
To the Chief Musician. [A Psalm] of the sons of Korah, set to treble voices. A song.
1GOD IS our Refuge and Strength [mighty and impenetrable to temptation], a very present and well-proved help in trouble.2Therefore we will not fear, though the earth should change and though the mountains be shaken into the midst of the seas, 3Though its waters roar and foam, though the mountains tremble at its swelling and tumult. Selah [pause, and calmly think of that]!4There is a river whose streams shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the Most High. 5God is in the midst of her, she shall not be moved; God will help her right early [at the dawn of the morning]. 6The nations raged, the kingdoms tottered and were moved; He uttered His voice, the earth melted. 7The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our Refuge (our Fortress and High Tower). Selah [pause, and calmly think of that]! 8Come, behold the works of the Lord, Who has wrought desolations and wonders in the earth. 9He makes wars to cease to the end of the earth; He breaks the bow into pieces and snaps the spear in two; He burns the chariots in the fire. 10Let be and be still, and know (recognize and understand) that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations! I will be exalted in the earth! 11The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our Refuge (our High Tower and Stronghold). Selah [pause, and calmly think of that]!
